Purpose

The Brace Tool Fine Thread Bailer is designed to collect debris and sand within wellbores. With its fine threads, removable valve, and robust upstroke pump design this tool is reliable and effective.

The bailer can be run with standard slickline tool strings and it is recommended that a jar is placed above the bailer. Utilizing a soft set down, and gentle pick up procedure the load barrel will capture debris. Once the desired number of strokes is complete the tool can be brought to surface.

See available options for the Brace Tool Fine Thread Bailer on the following sheet.

Operation

Use the desired bailer and attach it to the tool string. Set the tool down on the sand or obstructing material and gently pull up on the tool string. This pulls liquid and debris into the tool while not allow the debris to exit the bottom of the tool. Set down and lift the bailer the required number of times before removing it from the well bore. Various bailer diameters, barrel lengths and check valve options are available as per the Brace Tool catalog.

Precautions

Running a Jar up tool above the bailer may help the bailer from becoming stuck in sand and debris buildup. Avoid excessive jarring to avoid damaging the internal components of the bailer and its threaded connections.
