A Stop Running tool

Purpose

Running A type tubing stops.

Description

The A Stop Running Tool is simple in design and consists of only one part. The tool typically consists of a multi diameter shaft with shear pin holes. The multi diameter shaft allows the tool to be used for more than one size of A Stop.

Operation

Pin the desired size of A Stop onto the running tool and attach to tool string. Run A Stop to desired depth in the wellbore.

Engage slips in the tubing wall, jar down to set the slips on taper of the A stop and shear the pin in the running tool.

Remove tool string from the wellbore.
