PURPOSE
A means of attaching larger slickline to the wireline tool string.
APPLICATIONS
Designed for use with slickline 0.140” diameter and larger. The Slip Type Rope Socket utilizes a pair of slips in conjunction with a taper to grip the slickline and hold it in place during slickline operations.
PRECAUTIONS
Care should be taken to ensure that the slips are not worn or damaged.
Also ensure that the slips are installed correctly with the etched arrow
pointing in the upward direction, as improper installation of the slips could
lead to failure.
